Yep, I know what that’s like. I’m also a busy mum, keeping a lot of balls in the air like many of us do, all the while trying to maintain my own mental health and joy in life. 

It is absolutely exhausting to fulfill all those roles if you aren’t “putting on your own oxygen mask first” before trying to help everyone else with everything. Believe me, I’ve been there! And while I might have managed to keep up with my expected tasks, I was burnt out, resentful, rapidly gaining weight and absolutely miserable - which wasn’t good for anyone around me either.

TIME FOR A CHANGE!

Following my own MB program helped me in ways I didn't expect. Yes, I lost 5kg within 4 weeks, but also noticed my skin clearer, my sleep more refreshing, and most importantly for me, my moods evened out to the point that I didn't experience any premenstrual dysphoria at all. In fact, I felt so good that I was able to create videos and selfies on social media - tasks that I usually shy away from at the best of times!

In my practice, I have a professional focus on mental well-being, especially from a hormonal perspective such as occurs in PMS, perimenopause, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. And I love delving into the biochemical drivers behind mental health issues.

I’m a strong believer in Food as Medicine, as the backbone of our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. After all, where does your body & brain, get the sustenance it needs to build, maintain and operate? Your FOOD! Getting back to basics is key to helping you create a solid foundation on which to support your best self.

My strength as a naturopath-nutritionist is in finding the shortcuts, or “hacks” as my kids would say, to incorporating healthy eating, self-care and good lifestyle choices into a busy life, even when you really don’t have the enthusiasm for it all.
